Toast and nutella, although delicious was a luxury, the camp stove 'toaster' took forever just to toast the bread, if you were a little impatient like me you could end up having warm bread with a slither of nutella.
Note for next year: Buy more bananas, you can never have too many (we had 6 and thought that this would be enough). Its a great food, full of potassium and really easy to digest (common theme here). We had bought some other fruits too including strawberries and apples, but Bananas are the way forward.
I also made some home made protein bars and balls, which were great as it was full of variety of health foods including some flaxseed oil, protein (of course), chia seeds and some other healthy stuff. Only a couple were eaten, but I did make enough to feed everyone.
Before we left we portioned out some BCAA's and creatine (Dave), each bag was one serving so it was easy to add a serving to water and help with overall muscle recovery.
I will also be practicing with the sports gels to try and find the right one for me, as we will be racing individually rather than as a team, providing enough fuel is going to be crucial.
